Wales

Wales links courses – Wales is little bit like Scotland and Ireland - there are many excellent links courses scattered round the coastline. Unfortunately they tend to be spread out with fairly significant distances between some of them, but it is possible to get a few rounds in at some of the better courses.

England

Not so many classic links courses in the area but wow, there are plenty of good parkland, and forest courses, and of course resort courses to choose from!  Maybe you would like to take on the challenges of the Brabazon Course at The Belfry, venue of many Ryder Cups in recent years. A great course and there 2 other courses at the resort as well.
Lots of good resorts and private clubs to choose from as well, to take groups of all sizes, and with all budgets.

Ireland

As there are several fast ferry crossings you may prefer to take that long overdue trip to Ireland, and play some of the many great courses in the Dublin area before taking the ferry over to Wales and attend the tournament. The good thing about this is Ireland’s prices are not inflated due to the tournament, so you are getting great value at fantastic courses.

Scotland

Although it is a 7-hour drive from Central Scotland to the course, there are plenty of low cost flights from Scotland to Wales and southwest England. So getting from Scotland to The Celtic Manor is easy. Scotland also is not pushing up its prices at that time so if you wish to enjoy a tour of some of the famous Scottish courses, then this is very do-able!
