We are pleased to advise that we can obtain guaranteed times on The Old Course for our clients.

Booking Process and Options 
As you may know there are a number of different ways to reserve your time so we will guide you as cost efficiently as possible.
Ballot
Most days during the April to October period there is a daily ballot and a significant number of times are named available. The best months to be successful in the ballot are April and May. June is possible but July and August is very limited simply due to the number of golfers wanting to play at St Andrews at that time of year.
Please note that no ballot takes place on Sundays.
Green fee is £130 for 2008.
Trade Times
We are able to apply for trade times for clients. The group size is limited to 8 players. They are sold as part of a 2 game package - one game on The Old Course and the other game on either the New or Jubilee Course. There is no refund if you choose not to play the New or Jubilee course.
VIP times
It is possible to buy VIP packages for 4 - 40 players throughout the summer months. These are sold as a package with 2, 3 or 4 night's accommodation.

Dates the course is closed 
The course is closed every Sunday and at several other times each year. In particular the course is closed for a week in mid May, 2 weeks in mid September and the first week in October, along with a number of other dates. Additional Information 
Handicaps
All golfers will be required to produce handicap certificates to the Starter confirming their handicap is 24 or better for Gents and 36 or better for Ladies.
Caddies
These should be requested in advance a few days before play. The caddies fee is approximately £55 including tip and should be paid in cash at the end of the round..
Carts
Carts are not available on the Old Course.
Pull trolleys
Pull trolleys are only available after 12 noon on the Old Course.

Conclusion
Don't despair......as difficult as it sounds to get a time on the course, we are pleased to advise that we obtained daily ballot times for over 95% of golfers who booked with us last year in April, May & June and over 60% in July and August.
